Maitland and Mulligan Joint Mobilization
Maitland vertebral and peripheral joint mobilization treats pain and joint stiffness through passive gliding of the affected joint. Mulligan’s joint mobilization involves manual repositioning of the affected joint by the therapist while the patient moves through range in order to restore function and remove pain.
IMS / Dry needling
Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), is the insertion of an acupuncture needle into a shortened band of muscle/trigger point. This will reset and relax - thus reducing your pain and improving your ability to move. For best results, it is important to be hydrated prior to this treatment.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial tissues are the tough membranes that wrap, connect and support your muscles. Release of these improves blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles, all essential for advanced musculoskeletal function and normal pain-free living.
Therapeutic Exercise
Doing the correct exercises in the correct way at the correct time during your rehabilitation is truly the foundation of your physical being and will result in you feeling strong, stable, and capable of achieving your life goals.
Clinical Pilates
The three principles of Pilates are breath, whole-body health and whole-body commitment; with the whole-body encompassing mind, body and spirit. Pilates exercise can be adapted to provide either gentle strength training for rehabilitation or a strenuous workout vigorous enough to challenge skilled athletes.
